The annual “Cure Kids Great Adventure Race” – Your chance to contribute!

Find a cure save a life!

2 years ago Laura and I were support team extraordinaires for the PwC Wellington Team’s Cure Kids Adventure Race team.  We have now decided to do it all again this year (as, did we mention, the team won the event?!  yea… we were pretty awesome).

Seriously though, this is a fantastic cause that I know you would all love to help out with.  Cure Kids do not receive any funding from Government and rely on the public to raise funds.  To raise much needed funds, each year Cure Kids run a grueling one day event called The Great Adventure Race for Cure Kids and this year the team from PwC Wellington have signed up again (having smashed it 2 years ago!) to help raise money for this worthy cause! We need to raise $10k to enter so this is your chance to help the PwC Wellington team.

All money raised from this event will go straight to Cure Kids.  We are fundraising to improve the health of children through research and outcomes.

What is involved?

It’s a fun gym based workout of 5 strength based exercises, done in a small circuit as a team of 5 members. The idea is you complete as many repetitions as you can of each exercise in 1 minute. Each member of your team has a go and your results (reps!) are combined. Highest number of reps is the winner and earns you firm-wide bragging rights!  There will be some great prizes up for grabs too, including spot prizes for best team spirit.

What is the cost ?

$50 a team, $10 per member.

Who can do it?

You! Anyone!

The work-out is possible for all levels of fitness so don’t let that be an excuse to get sweating for a great cause.

So come on and get involved!! You will be doing it for not only yourselves but also to help raise some money for an amazing charity!!!

What time and where?

The event will be run at Functional Results Fitness in Lyall Bay.  Please arrive at FRF gym by 11.45am for a 12pm briefing. We will be running a number of heats and we need everyone on time so we can run the event smoothly.

What do I need to do now?

Get you friends, partners and colleagues involved and get a team together! Its for all levels of fitness so anyone can be invloved. Don’t delay! Secure your teams spot today and help support a amazing charity.

Leave a comment below or get in touch with Laura or I if you are interested in registering a team.

Look forward to seeing you all next weekend!

Jane xx
